The immune dysregulation, polyendocrinopathy and enteropathy, X-linked syndrome (IPEX), is a rare and devastating condition of male infants. Immune mediated diabetes and enteropathy occur before 6 months of age and other manifestations include hypothyroidism, recurrent infections and eczema.
